Freedom Word Church has been part of Appomattox County for more than three decades.
Pastor Greg and Glenna Mayhorn moved to Central Virginia in 1990 and have served this community ever since — through a growing congregation, the building of our sanctuary in 2004, and a whole lot of life shared with the families around us. Our address is right in Appomattox, and the same is so for many of the people you’ll meet on a Sunday morning.

We’re a Pentecostal, Word of Faith church in Spout Spring. Our services center on three things: worship that’s genuinely alive, Bible teaching you can use during the week, and the freedom for the Holy Spirit to move.
